This past June, the Knight Foundation announced 70 finalists in the Knight Arts Challenge Detroit. While the winners won’t be announced until October, starting this week you can help choose who wins the Knight Arts People’s Choice award.
Allied Media Projects seeks a Development Director to join our team. AMP has steadily grown our fundraising capacity over the years and we are very excited to be able to offer a position specifically dedicated to the critical work of fundraising and sustainability.
Allied Media Projects is excited to announce that we are a recipient of ArtPlace America’s 2015 National Grants Program. ArtPlace, one of the nation’s largest philanthropies dedicated to creative placemaking, is investing $500,000 in “CreateNED,” a collaborative community revitalization project by Allied Media Projects with partners RestoreNED (Northeast Detroit/District 3) and The Work Department.
This spring marks the return of Art X Detroit - a free 10-day arts experience kicking off April 9. The biennial festival, which hosted its inaugural event in 2011, will include dance, music, literary, and theatrical performances featuring Kresge Arts Fellows at over 20 venues throughout Detroit. Allied Media Projects is pleased to be a promotional sponsor of the festival.
