AMP Blog: Allied Media Conference
Volunteers make the AMC happen! We are excited to open our call for volunteers for AMC2017. We welcome volunteers of all ages, identities and abilities, and especially look forward to applications from returning volunteers. The deadline to apply is May 19th.
Do you want to enrich your AMC experience by attending with a group? Does your group share something important in common and do you want more visibility for your crew? Apply to attend the AMC together as an official “delegation”!
As we gear up for AMC2017, we are excited to take a look back at some highlights of last year’s conference. At AMC2016, Hong Gwi-Seok presented a session called “Not Your Mama: Radical Crones for the 21st Century.” Read Gwi-Seok’s reflections on the session, and get inspired to submit a session idea of your own for AMC2017!
At AMC2016, one of your favorite sessions was "Collaboration with Github and Git", which introduced the basics of collaborative website development to folks of all backgrounds and knowledge levels. Read our interview with facilitators Libby Horacek and Cassie Moy, and get inspired to submit a session idea of your own for AMC2017!
As we approach the 19th annual Allied Media Conference, June 15-18 in Detroit, it’s not too early to start thinking about your accommodation! This year, all participants will need to book their own off-campus housing independently. To assist you, we have compiled a list of hotel options, and community housing resources, to help you get started in your housing search.
