AMP Blog: Allied Media Conference
We are excited to announce the launch of AMP's new podcast, Critical Connections: Stories from 20 years of the Allied Media Conference available wherever podcasts are streaming.
As the AMC celebrates its 20th year, more than 2,500 artists, activists, technologists, and educators are expected to attend the participant-designed event. In anticipation of the 20th Annual AMC, we are excited to announce our featured speakers and performers. The AMC's Opening Ceremony, produced by Tunde Olaniran, will explore our roots, create space to dream our future. It will feature a conversation with Tarana Burke, founder of the #MeToo movement, in conversation with Mariame Kaba, founder and director of Project NIA. Plenary speakers and AMC @ Night performances and dance parties have also been announced.
Many people who attend the Allied Media Conference are funded by their employers to cover the costs of conference registration, housing, travel, and incidental expenses. At the AMC you will learn new skills, increase the visibility of your organization, and establish partnerships that will continue beyond the conference.
Calling all volunteers for the 20th Annual Allied Media Conference!
The Allied Media Conference includes four days and five nights of workshops, panels, film screenings, Detroit tours, and art and music events, with over 2,500 people in attendance. From welcoming participants at the registration table to installing signage and assisting with questions at the info desk, volunteers make the AMC run smoothly.
