Calling all artists, designers, activists, technologists, advocates and activists, media-makers and media enthusiasts – the 18th annual Allied Media Conference is looking for you! The coordinators of the 19 tracks and practice spaces at AMC2016 are seeking your session ideas.
Calling all AMCers! We want to hear your ideas for the 18th annual Allied Media Conference, coming up June 16-19 in Detroit. Take our survey to tell us more about what you need from and want to see at the AMC this summer.
We join our wider community in mourning the passing of Ron Scott, spokesperson for the Detroit Coalition Against Police Brutality and a founding member of the Detroit Chapter of the Black Panther Party. Ron was a friend, a mentor, and a frequent participant in the AMC.
Grace Lee Boggs, who passed on October 5, 2015 at 100 years old, was a mentor and inspiration to many of us at Allied Media Projects. We join our wider community at this time in mourning her loss, sharing memories, and celebrating Grace’s extraordinary legacy. In looking through our archives we were excited to discover this transcript of Grace's remarks from AMC2008 - the second AMC held in Detroit.
