AMP Blog: Allied Media Conference
Session proposals are due February 4, 2020 at 11:59 EST. Introducing: New content areas
For AMC2020, we’re excited to offer two broad thematic areas reflective of how content at the conference has evolved: “media for liberation” and “visionary organizing.”
This new way of organizing content replaces the way we used to organize the AMC, in which there would be as many as 30 different tracks.
Are you a network of people or organizations using media for liberation? Does your network need a home in which to grow? If so, come and gather at the 21st Allied Media Conference in Detroit!
The AMC 2020 Call for Network Gathering proposals is now open. Proposals are due November 5th, 2019 at 11:59 EST.
At the end of July, the inimitable Morgan Mann Willis celebrated their last day as the Associate Director of Allied Media Projects. Morgan began in 2012 as the Allied Media Conference Content Coordinator.
Morgan, you singular unicorn! We will miss your presence in our day to day, but cheer your next steps.
Given Mo’s singular voice, we thought it most fitting to share their goodbye letter, excerpted below:
Thank you to the many people who participated in the past year of AMC in Chrysalis. You helped us explore and answer the big questions of, How do we want to grow? What are the key ingredients that make the AMC special? What parts of the conference can become something new?
AMC 2020, taking place next June 25-28 in Detroit, will be the first biennial (every other year) Allied Media Conference.
