Every summer, media-makers and movement builders convene for four days of media-based organizing at the annual Allied Media Conference (AMC) in Detroit. These artists, activists, and technologists come together to develop strategies for transformative social change through hands-on workshops, strategy sessions, presentations and performances.
The AMC, now in its 17th year, has grown steadily from 500 participants in 2006 to an anticipated 2000+ participants in 2015. AMC participants are diverse, curious, and passionate about media that supports more just, creative, and collaborative communities.

A diverse collection of more than 20 organizations generously sponsored the AMC in 2014, including groups such as Youthprise, Design Action Collective, the Detroit Creative Corridor Center, and Free Press.
