Last days to propose a session for AMC2014!

The Allied Media Conference is a participant-driven event. We need your session proposals! The deadline to propose a session is Saturday, March 1.

Maybe you've already drafted your session proposal in AMPtalk. Now is the time to review it one last time and hit "submit."

Maybe you've been bouncing ideas around with friends and collaborators. Now is the time to start filling out the proposal form. Even if you are not 100% ready to submit your proposal, it's a good idea to read through the form ahead of time.

Maybe you've missed all the previous messages about the AMC session proposal deadline and you haven't started working on your proposal at all. Don't worry! you still have four days.

Here is everything you need to know to submit an AMC session proposal:

The deadline is Saturday, March 1.

You submit your proposal by clicking here. To access the form, you will be asked to log-in to AMPtalk or create an account if you do not already have one.

The dates of the AMC are June 19 - 22, 2014.

You will have the option to affiliate your session proposal with an AMC2014 Track or Practice Space. Read more about them here.

Your proposal does not need to fit with any of the AMC2014 Tracks or Practice Spaces. We appreciate proposals that fit outside the box. Select the "General" track when you propose.

Each of these Tracks and Practice Spaces have written "calls for session proposals" explaining the kinds of sessions they are looking for. Read more here.

We love session proposals that:

  • Make complex ideas accessible and exciting
  • Share hands-on, creative skills
  • Value the expertise of people most impacted by a problem to solve that problem
  • Use clear language that welcomes people from any background or experience level
  • Result in tangible resources, and strategic next steps
  • Explore solutions that span the internal, interpersonal, and systemic dimensions of the problems we face
  • Exercise imagination

If you still have questions about submitting AMC Session Proposals, you may find an answer here on the Frequently Asked Questions page.

If, after reading the FAQs you still have questions or you just want to discuss you session idea with someone at AMP, you can contact us.
