Detroit Future Media recently submitted a video application to the Kalamazoo College Global Prize for Collaborative Social Justice Leadership
The video we’ve created shares the story and vision of the DFM program, which is one that we would like to share with our community.
Detroit Future Media is 20-week program for Detroiters interested in building Detroit’s media economy through the creation of grassroots media, and community cultural production. The workshops offer intensive trainings rooted in community organizing in video, graphics, and web design with a focus on education, entrepreneurship, transformative art practices and digital stewardship.
The third year of DFM is currently in progress and the program itself is closed, however we are offering a few select media workshops to the public for a small fee that goes directly to helping to keep DFM alive for the future of Detroit.
