We are very excited to share that Allied Media Projects Co-Director Jenny Lee will be presenting on the Closing Plenary of the National Conference for Media Reform.

The NCMR is presented by our friends at Free Press and will be held April 5-7, 2013, in Denver, Colorado.

Here's the details on the plenary:

CLOSING PLENARY: OUR ROADMAP FOR CHANGE

Presenters: Craig Aaron, Molly Culhane, Malkia Cyril, Melissa Fitzgerald, Hari Kondabolu, Jenny Lee, Summer Matthews, Sascha Meinrath, YingYing Shang, Tyanna Slobe

This is it — the grand finale to three days of inspiration and celebration. The movers and shakers getting it done day in and day out will send us home with bold ideas and a vision for the future. You’ll leave this session energized and ready to take on the world! (We’re not kidding.)

West Wing actress and longtime human rights advocate Melissa Fitzgerald will talk about the role activism has played in her life. We’ll also map our way forward with a lively discussion featuring Craig Aaron of Free Press, Malkia Cyril of the Center for Media Justice, Jenny Lee of Allied Media Projects and Sascha Meinrath of the Open Technology Institute.

We’ll also hear from a few inspiring young women — Molly Culhane of New Moon Girls, Summer Matthews of Reel Grrls and Tyanna Slobe and YingYing Shang of SPARK a Movement — who are challenging media stereotypes in their work.

To round it all out we’ve got a special performance from comedian Hari Kondabolu of Comedy Central Presents fame. What more could you ask for?
