Support Regeneración NYC's journey to Detroit for the Allied Media Conference to coordinate Kids programming and attend a gathering of childcare collectives. Check out their sweet video and campaign for funds to cover costs of participation in the AMC.
Regeneración NYC is a grassroots volunteer network of folks doing childcare to facilitate the participation of low-income mothers and queer parents of color in building movements for collective liberation. Our work is about intentional relationship-building with social justice organizations, locally and nationally; we promote a childcare process that respects the autonomy, growth, safety, and health of children.
We are greatly inspired by the work of the Allied Media Conference (AMC), a gathering of media makers from across the U.S. The AMC is a space where we can practice creating the world we want to live in, and to innovate new practical models for how kids can be part of movement building spaces. Regeneración partners with the AMC to provide transformative, intergenerational workshops that engage little ones in learning to tell their own stories.
Our work with the AMC deepens each year. For 2012, kids are taking a more active role in planning workshops, and we’re working hard to meet their requests to climb trees and make pop-up books. In addition, we’re excited to grow our national relationships through a day-long network gathering of childcare collectives from around the country!
Your donation enables our participation in this incredible conference: so please help us get to Detroit in June!
