Thank you to everyone who gave us feedback on AMC2013. We have spent the past few months pouring over 120 responses to the AMC2013 Reflections Survey. In your responses you told us what you loved about AMC2013, what you learned, and what we could do to make the next AMC even more accessible, creative, skill-driven and community-oriented.
If the AMC is an experiment in making the world we want to make happen for four days in June, how do we deal with potential violence and harm during that time? SafetyTeam is the AMC's attempt to begin to answer this question.
Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha, coordinator of the AMC2013 SafetyTeam, shares her reflections below.
AMC2013 will feature nearly 200 hands-on workshops, strategy sessions, presentations and performances. To support all of our presenters in making their sessions as dynamic and accessible as possible, we've compiled this list of resources and suggestions for leading a great session.
Next month we will welcome thousands of people working to build a more just, creative and collaborative world to the 14th annual Allied Media Conference, June 28 - July 1 in Detroit, Michigan. Conference organizers have been hard at work making this year's AMC the best ever, implementing new features in response to feedback following the last AMC.
