The Detroit Community Technology Project in collaboration with the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition, hosted its third “Data DiscoTech” at the Boggs Education Center on June 2, 2016. At the Data DiscoTech young people learned about what data is, unique ways to create data visualizations, and how to collect and analyze data.
The Detroit Community Technology Project (DCTP) and the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition (DDJC) are excited to present the Opening Data zine. The Opening Data zine offers a primer on open data, real-world examples of data discrimination, use cases of data in organizing, creative data storytelling, and more.
In partnership with the Detroit People Platform and the Detroit Digital Justice Coalition, presents the “Data DiscoTech.” This event will explore the potential benefits of open data to grassroots communities. The event is open to the public and will take place on September 19th, 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Samaritan Behavioral Center (5555 Conner St.).
