At AMC2015 some of your favorite sessions explored strategies for dealing with interpersonal conflict and trauma through the lens of “transformative justice”. Here we interview presenters of the session "Courage > Conflict: Communicating Accountably," which used a “detours” mapping tool to illuminate strategies for responding to difficult feedback in order to build stronger relationships.
The 18th annual Allied Media Conference will mark 10 years of the conference being held annually in Detroit. Since we moved to Detroit in 2007, the AMC has grown from roughly 600 attendees to over 2,500 in 2015. We can’t wait to see what the next 10 years of creation, connection, and transformation will bring!

In this blog post we look at two sessions which you named as favorites in the AMC2015 feedback survey. “Speculative Cities: Becoming Place” and “The Anti Eviction Mapping Project” explored the topic of gentrification and displacement through collaborative visioning and data mapping.
